Christmas Giving Idea

Looking for a classy yet inexpensive gift-giving idea for Christmas?

Why not make your own homemade vanilla and present it in a decorative bottle? It's a terrific gift idea for teachers, coworkers, neighbors or friends. But start early. It's at least a month-long process.

Go read more "Holidays Made Easier" tips from this week's Blogging Chicks Carnival.

Great tip! Vanilla beans and pure vanilla extract are so expensive, that this sounds like a more affordable way of making a lot of it last a long time. Thanks for this link!

Nothing turns out for me like that anymore. I think I've lost my energy and patience.

Thats what I WANT for Christmas. Energy and patience.

Last year my hubby and I made homemade Kahlua - it was a huge hit. Also - I make family calendars (find old photos from the 60's and 70's and mix them up with current ones). They are fun and everyone enjoys them.

The vanilla looks like a great idea too!
